ZERMA ZWS

The AMIS single-shaft shredders from the ZWS series are used in the plastics and wood processing industries to ensure economical processing of a wide variety of materials. The machines have been designed for heavy-duty use and reliability in continuous operation.

General description

The ZWS series has a load-dependent hydraulic pusher that feeds the material to the rotor, in a horizontal movement, in a slightly inclined, position.

The material is shredded between the rotor and stator knives until it falls through the screen installed and bolted under the rotor. The replaceable screen defines the final grain size. The shredded material can be discharged via a conveyor belt, a discharge screw or pneumatically by means of an suction system.

Pusher with heavy-duty steel rollers

The pusher of the ZWS series runs on oversized, heavy-duty steel rollers. This system prevents the slider from tilting and increased wear.

Bolted rotor blade holders and rotor knives

The rotor knife holders are fixed or screwed (and not welded) in a pocket. The rotor blades are also screwed into the blade holders. Changing the knives / knife holders is quick and easy using the puller included in the scope of delivery.

Hydraulic pusher

It is load-dependent controlled and has a 2-stage hydraulics (from model ZWS 1400), i.e. the reverse movement takes place vat increased speed.

Rotatable cutting crowns

The rotors are equipped with concave shaped, rotatable cutting crowns.

Sieve

It is firmly screwed to the housing. From the ZWS 1700 model, the sieve basket with sieve is operated via a separate hydraulic 2-hand operation. Maintenance work on the rotor, changing the sieve, the rotor knives blades and the rotor blade holders can be done easily and quickly.

Segmented moving floor and hydraulic scraper

They prevent the penetration of very thin parts and materials from getting under the hydraulic pusher and thus its jamming.

Bolted rotor shaft ends

Simplifies repair work enormously. They also they represent a predetermined breaking point to protect the machine from more serious damage.

Large gearbox

In relation to the drive motor, it is generously dimensioned with a factor of 2 to 2.5. The drive is provided by a drive motor and V-belt.
